The documented record of unidentified aerial phenomena spans not decades but centuries. In 1561, the residents of Nuremberg watched an aerial battle unfold above their city — spheres, cylinders, and a black triangular object, recorded in a broadsheet that survives to this day. In 1942, American anti-aircraft batteries fired 1,400 rounds at unidentified objects over Los Angeles. In 2004, Navy pilots tracked a craft that outran an F-18. In 2023, a former intelligence officer told the United States Congress, under oath, that the government has recovered craft of non-human origin.
The sightings are not uniform. Some involve structured craft moving in formation. Some involve single objects demonstrating speed and maneuverability that exceed known technology. Some end in crashes with reported physical recoveries. Some are observed for minutes. Some recur over the same geography for years.
The witnesses are not uniform either. They include Navy fighter pilots, commercial airline captains, police officers, military radar operators, a state governor, and career intelligence officials. Many have testified under oath. Many have faced professional consequences for speaking publicly.
The conventional responses — weather balloons, flares, drones, optical illusions — account for some sightings. They do not account for all of them. The cases that remain unexplained share characteristics that, taken together, suggest something more structured than random misidentification.
This site examines the documented record. Every witness is presented on their own terms, with their own credentials, in their strongest form. Every incident is drawn from the public record. Nothing is fabricated. Nothing is dismissed.

In May 2026, the United States government began doing something it had never done in its history: systematically declassifying and releasing UAP material to the public.
The program is called PURSUE — the Presidential Unsealing and Reporting System for UAP Encounters. Established under a 2026 executive order, it directs every relevant federal agency — the Pentagon, the FBI, the CIA, the State Department, and the Executive Office of the President — to review their holdings and release UAP-related material on a rolling basis.
Since May, there have been five releases. They include 126 declassified video recordings from military sensors, 162 declassified files spanning 1944 to 2025, DoD mission reports from active combat zones, NASA Apollo crew transcripts, FBI historical photographs, and State Department cables. The material includes F-16 gun camera footage of the February 2023 Lake Huron shootdown and unresolved sensor reports from the Gulf of Oman.
This is the largest public disclosure of government UAP material in history. And it is ongoing — officials have confirmed that additional releases are forthcoming.
PURSUE did not emerge in a vacuum. In 2023, whistleblower David Grusch told Congress under oath that the government had been recovering non-human craft for decades. In November 2024, a second Congressional hearing featured Luis Elizondo, Rear Admiral Tim Gallaudet, and others testifying to the same. Whistleblower protections were enacted into law. The topic now sits on the standing agenda of the United States Congress.
The political landscape has shifted as well. Multiple members of the current administration have expressed public interest in disclosure. The conversation has moved from the fringe to the floor of Congress, and the documents are now following.
